  • I'd be happy to review both of your stories as well! Although I'll be a bit busy so it won't be until Wednesday (I'm estimating here)

But if I have time to do it sooner, I'll definitely get on it!

  • Hey!
I was actually wondering if anyone would like to review 1 of 2 works of mine? My novels in question are 'In Love With Air' and 'This Is Why I'm Afraid'. They're both completed, YA novels but I'm resolutely terrible when it comes to editing and the like.

I will, of course, review an equal amount of works in return!

  • Hello Peoplez!

I am looking for someone to review on my story, Callie Cameron - Country Chaos.

I know the title's pretty lame, but i think the story's a good bit interesting.

Here's just a little insight: Callie Cameron (note the title) is the masked, 18 year old alter-ego of Lilly Ann Martins, an as-ordinary-as-you-can-get teen.

And here's the Summary: The Martin family takes a trip out to the country to visit their extended family and help them move to their new home. But it doesn't take long for Lilly Ann to figure out that there's something not quite right going on... starting with the masked figure who calls himself the Shadow Rider.

Okay, I hope that wasn't overdoing it, but i would LOVE for someone to read it and tell me what you think!

Alright... and with the review exchange if you want to do that:

PLEASE, if it's romance, only good, clean romance. No cussing or swearing (for any story)

and PLEAse please please no sci-fi. I'm afraid i don't understand it one iota.

So... yeah. I sound like a demanding brat. :(

    well... Thanks!

    Laterz!

  • I'd love to read your story. It seems interesting! :) Warning: not sure WHEN I'll have time but I will certainly try to read it soon. Please read my story Blood Trail (I am curently re-editing the chapters so overlook any little flaws in narration although there shouldn't be all that many to begin with). Don't worry it doesnt curse (unless you count "hell" and "dammit" every once in a while), and there is romance but it's clean. Aaaaand it's post-apocalyptic. I'd post the summary but I'm on my phone.

I'm editing two stories at the moment - 'This Is Why I'm Afraid' and 'In Love With Air' if you like to look at either in exchange?

  • Hey guys, if you want to give someone a good review, here are a few good questions I found that you can answer while reading someone's work. I think it will help the writer a lot if they know what you think about the following things:

    1. Is anything confusing?

    2. Are any scenes boring or repetitious?

    3. Do you spot any general tics (repeated words, etc.)?

    4. Do you spot any confusing plot points (let me know when and where I lose you and what needs to be clarified)?

    5. Does the opening grab you?

(These types of questions are effective with chapter-by-chapter comments)

If you've read an entire story and want to give an overall review, try to answer these questions:

    1. Was the setting clear? Did you feel like you had a clear idea of what things looked like in the scenes?

    2. Can you give me a brief opinion of the main characters? Did you understand who was who and what their problems/goals were? Any characters that felt out of place? Any characters you felt you were supposed to like, but didn’t? Any characters you had a hard time keeping track of?

    3. Did the plot keep you engaged? Did the overall arc make sense?

    4. Any problems with the dialogue?

    5. Ditto for the narrative? Were there any places where you were bored with it?

    6. Did the beginning grab you?

    7. Did the middle keep your attention?

    8. Was the ending satisfying?

    9. After reading the first scene, what expectations did you have for the story? Were those expectations fulfilled?

    11. Did the action rise appropriately? Did it move too abruptly?

    12. Was it repetitive or overlong? Can you think of anything it would be good to cut? Is there anyplace I need to trim some fat and include less information?

    13. Did you understand the themes, and did they become more complex and interesting as you read? Did the character arcs express the themes well?

    14. Was the climax both inevitable and yet unexpected?

    15. Was the story easy to follow?

    16. Does the overall tone welcome you? Or is it off-putting in any way?

    17. Was there any point at which your interest faded?

Following this guide can help to improve someone's writing and can be very helpful. I hope you guys find it useful. :)

I have a new story up! Am still working on the old, but this one is more of a romance... Here's the summary!

After Ashton's mother died when he was seven his whole world turned upside down. He never expected that a girl in Pink Converse Tennis shoes would turn his world around... and make it all the better

    Thanks! Laterz!

  • Hi there, I am going to post the first chapter of my story Marked Book 1: A Darker Power soon and was wondering if anybody would be interested in reading it, I would be quite happy to read yours in return. I believe Emi has already read the first three chapters of the original draft, The Legend of Kilarin Stormrider so perhaps you would like to read the new and improved version?

Also, I think Nicol Armas said she would like to read it when I asked for a review exchange in the forums?
    Anyway, here's the summary:
Once, this realms knew peace. The five nations lived together in harmony, the ancient kings all working together for harmony under the great gods. But now everything has changed.
Vallin and Aldarian are forever at war, have been for almost six  and a half centuries. The Aldarians erected the Borders to protect themselves, great walls of stone filled with able men, Bordermen, to defend them. But rumors are spreading, Vallin is amassing an army, one made of Dragon Speakers and their mounts, Elementals, Mages and even Elvenkind. It seems all hope is lost.

    • However, unknown to both the Vallinians and the Aldarians, to the entire realm. One was born in the lands of Xlan, one with the ability to end this war once and for all. Afraid of this power and its consequences he fled to the Borders once of age and has hidden there for years. Now as the final, decisive action falls into place he must decide, will he save this realms? Or let or plunge into chaos?

This is the journey of the Marked

  • Hey Guys and Gals!

I was actually wondering if someone could read a prolog of mine? It's called "I. Am. Aidan. Ianess" and it will be about the first Artifical Intelligence who runs from the purpose he was created to do, and a college student who stumbles across him while the 'Men In Suits' search for it. I would appreciate feedback!
