Nightmare

She walked down the hallway, her black hair sawing slightly behind her, he pale white skin glowing in the faint light, several scars and wounds could be seen some of them were old and some recent. The recent ones still bled profoundly. Her arms was behind her chained together, a chain lead upwards behind her back, dividing into five separated chains that led to five different people holding them tight and preventing her from escaping along with a lot of discomfort. Her head was held high showing determination instead of fear or sadness. They walked in silence only the steps echoing through the walls breaking the silence. Two men on the inside closed the two large stone doors after Amber stepped inside with her guards.
"You know why you are here, Amber," The judge’s voice thundered through the large hall. People stared down at her, none could see their faces. The judge was the only one who showed his face, his white beard and hair shined in the cold light, his eyes cold as ice and shown no mercy or love, only pure hate could be seen in them.

"Strop her in," He commanded shortly.

"Yes sir!" Answered one of them before they all walked again to the middle of the room, they lifted her hands onto a hook before strapping her feet down onto a small metal platform, her eyes never leaving the old man's.

"Have you something to say to your defence?"

"We are all the same; we should all be treated equally, "Amber stated firmly. The crowed murmured loudly, silenced by the hammer the judge wielded.

"Very well, if you change your mind just say so," he told her softly. "Bring him out!”
A man with black hair and cloths leather glows with no fingers and a wipe in his left hand, the wipe it self wasn't just leather, no it had spikes at the end. It was a modified Cat o nine whip. He walked over to Amber.

"Twenty five, and let her rest in case she wants to give up." He nodded once without taking his eyes of Amber, before her lifted his whip and slashed it down on her back. Not a sound left Amber's mouth; she stood for hers and wouldn't let pain take over her actions.

At the second lash her knees buckled slightly, but still not a sound from her. At the third lash her memories came back to her.

Amber was sitting on a wood swing that was hanging from a branch, staring at the ground instead of the man in front of her. "We are all the same; we have all options about right and wrong. But there is no one willing to listen to a low level person like me. But I will make me heard even if it costs my life," she told him quietly.

"I know what you’re saying, but I don't want to lose you, I will listen and bring your options as mine," He told her trying to convince her on other thoughts.

"I know you will do that for me, but that won't help anyone else. I need to say my options and stand for them, and I won't take them back no matter what!" She told him stubbornly.

At the forth lash a tear made it down her cheek, not of pain but of sorrow, one person had listen to her, one person had voiced her options, one person had always listen to her and never done something she didn't agree on. And that man was wearing a hood beside the old man, and the old man was his priest and father. Amber was standing stubbornly in the same room, before all of them, her head held high.

"Scandal!" A man shouted. He was one of the highest of them and one of them who held much power also known as her father, he had no mercy for his own daughter, he said that politics came first, her mother and her sister and her had nothing to say, only her two brothers also the youngest of the four of them.

"We all stand equal; we should all be treated equal!" She shouted up at them. "All our options matters and we shall all be taken seriously."

At the fifth lash her mouth turned upwards in disgust. Amber bared her teeth at her father, her brothers looked away not out of shame but they just couldn't stand to watch their sister being lashed like that, and their father did nothing to stop them or go up against them. He had always loved her most, the first born daughter and child, it was a tradition to teach the first born about politics, but it had never been a first born girl, but their father had still thought her everything he knew about politics.

Six year old Amber ran down the grass in to her father's embarrass, he lifted her up and swung her around in his eyes her dark green dress glittered in the warmth of the sun.
"Daddy, why haven't you told me about great women that was a political?" She asked him curious.

"Well, you see, there hasn’t been anyone. Women aren't allowed to say their options in anything." He told her the truth instead of keeping her in the dark.

"That is a stupid law, women options should be as important as men!" She told her father with a stubborn pout.

He chuckled lightly at the childish behaviour. "Maybe so, but that is just how it is...Maybe you could be the first female politician."

At the sixth lash she smiled sadly at the memory that triggered her want to be heard, to change destiny of women. Her tears fell freely down her face out of sorrow of not being able to see her beloved friend and husband.

"Amber this is Christopher he is going to be your husband from when you’re sixteen, I hope you will get friendly with each other because you be staying the rest of your life together and that's a long time," he told them with a smile, he hoped by bringing them together they would get friendly with each other and then be friends seeing that they were going to have friends."

At the fifteenth lash she remembered the first time he told her he loved her.

"Amber can I talk to you?" Christopher asked when he caught up to her on the flower hill. Amber nodded and smiled up at him.

"I-I have, I have," he mumbled to himself. "I've loved you for sometime!" He blurred out. He took of leaving puzzled Amber behind.

The day after she found him on her swing that she loved dearly, she poked him on the shoulder. He jumped slightly before turning to see her standing behind him smiling down at him.

"I love you too." She told him as it was the most natural thing to do.

She didn't resist when someone dried her back with a wet cloth and saw to the wounds.

"I've given the chance for you to change your mind, now I want an answer." The priest spoke to her in a commanding tone.

"Women cry every day, women get hit, bitten, spat on and none will care expect for others women who have been gone through the same. We get married away against our will, we can get raped by horny men and none else will stop them to other women either cause they will be to afraid. We have nothing to say, when there is war and we have to take part or stay natural then there is nothing we have to say. If there is to be chosen new government then we have nothing to say. We can't defend ourselves when we are attacked or insulted," she told them never letting pain be shown or lowering her gaze. "I cannot let me be overpowered by pain or fear because then none will ever say something again. I cannot let this go because this is what I believe, and I need to stand for it, I can't give up, I need to be heard and let women be heard."

"Very well, Whip her until she dies." The old man commanded softly and sadly, he loved her as much as he loved his daughters and sons.

As time went by she still wouldn't let a sound come from her lips or let any weaknesses be shown. But as time went by they could all see the life in her eyes fade away, slowly by slowly. They could all see before them when she smiled and laughed and pouted out of anger because none would take her seriously or listen or just simply couldn't get her point out, they didn't see a twenty year old woman before them but six year old Amber, fire of life as they would call her cause of her eyes and will power, her determination eyes never willing to give up just like that. They all felt they did the wrong thing, they all felt that she didn't deserve to die as young she was, they all hoped that she would change her mind about what she said so they all could put it behind them. They all hoped she would close her eyes so the pain would go away, but she wasn't the one feeling the pain by being lashed, but everyone els did. In the end her eyes closed as her life line was broken, or as some would say the thread reached its limit and she felled into the white light that was awaiting her. But in the end they all hoped for the same, this was just a nightmare, and they would all wake up when it was breakfast and they would all go out to see the hyperactive black fur ball with red eyes running around, but this was reality how much they wanted it to be a dream it wasn't.
