Prologue: The Tyrannical Disaster

The Quick Overrun.

In the blazing sun and in the city of what seems to be of gold, and outside the walls of the city are deadlands, no one who goes to the deadlands come back the same or with the same intentions.
The summer sun resonating with such intensity that the scarce amounts of trees in the city seem to go dry with scorched leaves and slightly darker bark than a normal tree would have.
Rain, in her accessories of blue clothing including, a shirt whit a fish design and fins on the sides, and a skirt with one pocket and a few golden beads sewn into the threads of the short skirt and her stocking striped blue with black strap shoes. Rain stood at the city's wall, watching for possible danger although all she ever hear of danger was about people walking strangely or mumbling to themselves as if in a mindless state of lost and searching still for what they were doing in a world of barren, or golden lights afloat beyond them.
Rain stared at the barren land that seemed to go on forever, from flatlands and mountains to further and further, to many unknown lands that no one seems to know except for the strangers that come back aloof and scrambled with insecure and a lost mind that seems to be traveling still, as people go on with their original lives inside the city of lights and gold. Rain looked at Rimbella, with her hair in two buns and a spikey hairband, which gives everyone around her the impulse to bow to her. Rimbella, usually is called Rim, or Bella, and wears black or gray and adores cats impulsively that she carries a cat with her.
"Rim, where did you come from exactly?" Rain askes bluntly and nearly not caring for what is said from Rimbella at all, but Rimbella looked at Rain with sad violet eyes and a cut over one eye, that made it slightly lighter purple than her other eye. "Rain, lets just say, I saw the otherside..." Rimbella discreetly informed, than left to her look outpost. Rain sighed softly and mumbled to herself, "I wish to travel and be treated the same... These people need to stop fearing difference..." than Rain left to start packing a small bag full of what was essential, in a land of barren and fertileless gardens that seem to blow around into a dust storm. Rain looked at Skye, a man of about his mid-twenties wearing his charcoal hair up slightly, in a small bun while also wearing a mask to cover most his face and wearing worker clothes, and in his rough and harsh hands is a sword in its sheathe. "Hey, Skye?! Come over here, you windbag!" Rain grins at him, as Skye started to chuckle slightly, and mumbles to her, "Hey, you witch, what brings the hag from her cave?" he looks up to the lookout post indicating the cave as he spoke. Rain sighed with a slight smile, than whispered to him her plan of seeing outside the city walls along with any and as many people that are willing to come along the journey.
Rain looked at Skye, with his mask covering his eyes only, but Skye seemed to have troubles for he bumped into a man that seemed taller than him and had a gray-ish appearance, but he must of had a tan and quite lively appearance a long time ago, that made Rain hesitant in whether he was ill or just inable to handle the sun. "I am Suun, and I am the chief here! Rain, your supposed to be at your guard post with Rimbell, and watching for squandering wretches, like... the people outside." Suun looked towards the gray and mossy wall, at the edge of the city and sighed softly, than looked down at the cement.

2: Before The Rain of Fire
Before The Rain of Fire

I looked through my window as the tv blared, "There is a woman who has just disappeared... What?! We just got in tell that she was a president's Daughter." I just looked through my window without care, and sighed in response to the announcer. I left for college, only to bump into a tan guy, "Hey, beautiful? Want to walk to class?" I just looked at him rather stunned that anyone would find me good to talk to, but nodded in response after a moment. "Whats your name, beautiful?" He asks politely and glances over, I look over at him and try to ask him, "Whats your name? I am a girl, so you say first." Than I looked ahead and saw how close to college I was getting and started to hear the man next to me breathe slightly heavier, "I am... I am Suun Vinny, please call me Vinny." Suun grabbed my hands tightly and kissed them, than mumbled into them, "Please tell me your beautiful name..." he seemed to beg, which I couldn't help but let it melt my chilled heart, "I am...uh sorry, Sir Vinny. I need to go..." Than I slipped my hands out of his and ran to my classes quickly. He watched me as I left, it seemed and as the day went on through classes and its drawl of lectures, I only thought about who the young man was and why he wanted to see me so much, without coming with much of an answer for myself.
When classes ended, I couldn't help but rush out towards the front of my college, to find the young man I walked with, but once I reached the front of the college, I just saw a stretch of gray and eeriness as if everyone had a gray and dark look to them which could make you shiver in seconds and fear them ever getting closer to you or near your slightly different color within the dark and grey of the many people.
I sighed heavily for a moment, and looked out at the horizon stiffly waiting on quietly, until everyone in my class left and I was the only one left, then I slowly started on a walk home only to find myself walking next to the same tan guy from the morning, only he seemed to be stuck in thought or very far gone.
Vinny softly mumbles, "The day of death has arisen... The day of the dead has come to haunt all that walk and live..." I stared at him stunned and shivered slightly at what he said. I look up at the sky, turning from a light and soft blue to a bruised and dark purple color in the sky, until "Hey!.." Feeling someone pull me close and into my vision, only to be the same guy, only with a cold stare in his eyes, continues "Your coming with me, Medic..." I stared at him in shock, How did this guy know I was learning medicine? When did he know? Than I shook my head and followed scared not to, for how much a nice guy like him the morning earlier changed to such and almost a cruel and cold man.
Vinny grabbed what seemed to be either a machete, or a medium sized gun and in-front of him revealed a small gray colored boy with dirty blonde hair tousled in the light wind, but Vinny didn't hesitate and just beheaded the young child. "Why did you do that?! Vinny, it was just a little boy!" I cried, and tried to get my arm out of his grip, but he pulled me less than a few inches from his face and spoke harshly, "The kid wasn't real!" I stared at him as if he was going insane, or is insane, and mumbled "I don't want you to kill anyone, no one deserves death." He sighed, and just tugged my arm to follow him.
I followed Vin in silence, after a while when he still kept on killing random people, and squeezed my wrist tighter so I couldn't get away from him, to stop from hearing him say "You can't leave reality easily, the people I kill are no longer truthfully human, they are demons in daily human form... They always were even before we knew it..." Than he continued towards a small and nearly all the way boarded up two or three story building. "Why are you taking me here?" I try to ask confidently, but while being somewhere I don't know and knowing nothing about a guy who has weapons is rather threatening. He just sighed heavily, than explained "This is our hide away, my gang and I made this..." He pointed out the building and explained some details, than grabbed my wrist tightly, "Come!".
"Hey, Vin Suun! Where did you find the shadow?" said a man of similar age to Vin, almost like twins it would seem, but he waved it off and simply said, "Never mind, but are we going to leave this city? I want to live country life,.."Than he tried to change his accent to a western for the end, "A countree life." Vin sighed heavily, than left to another floor. I slowly went to the wall and sat in the corner hugging my knees tightly after the man introduced himself as Nate Carman, than went to another room on the same floor it seemed.
"Hey, Nate! Vin! Lokie! Bakina! Where are you all?..." A really young looking girl, of maybe twelve years came out of her room in a long shirt that stops at her knees and her pants go over her feet only revealing a few toes. "Hey, who are you? Are you Vin's friend? I am Kally, his sister." She has slightly lighter skin than Vin, once I looked closer slightly and her eyes were a beautiful light blue color, and bright sunny blonde color hair that seem to look like a sahara desert when her hair goes in the wind. "I am Sandra... Sandra." Than I looked around, and saw a girl with long crimson hair about waist length and gray eyes, say "Hey, you call? Vin is being look-out, Nate is cook, Lokie is searching around. And I am here." Kally nodded than turned towards me with a serious expression and ask in a tough tone, "What you do?" I felt so scared, and mumbled "I am learning to be a nurse or doctor..." Than looked at Kally as she clapped her hands together and yelled, "Okay, we have a Doc! Now we need to gather supplies and more worker bees, than move out!" than she quickly marched off.
"Sis! Everyone, Get your dumbasses up here!" yelled Vin Suun, as we came up onto the roof where pretty much everyone was heading, I saw that Vin was focused on one single location. "Why are you looking at my college? Its not that weird." I said bluntly and offended without meaning to seem like it, "There are only two possibilities why this is happening, either there is a master demon that is there, or they are making a fortress, a home there." Explains Vin Suun, with Kally nodding in agreement and nonchalantly looking over at the distant location.
"We will go at dawn." whispered Kally to the gang of people.
I stared off at the location, my college... and paused for a moment, If Vinny lives in this ran-down section of town, how did he reach the street I was on at 8 a.m when it would take a couple hours to reach there without being suspected as a stalker? "Um... How do you plan to reach there quickly?" I try to ask, but the group of people quickly left me on the roof it seems, for as soon as I tried to speak they weren't even there.

The morning of the attack, or scavenge however it is called...' As I stayed awake measuring the distance between the collapsing neighborhoods to the college, trying to figure out how someone got there inconspicuously, while feeling the stretch in my skin as if to tell my eyes to close but choosing to fight the one battle I could possibly win. To suddenly hear a shrill voice call up, "Sandra, Come down here!" which made me jump to my feet to hurry to the floor the others were at.

3: Twisted Mind
Twisted Mind

Suun Vinny watched the wall surrounding the golden city, pressing his fist against his chest then closed his eyes muttering, "Why? Why did all this have to happen? We were only going through college." Then he looked towards a woman with a gash in her eye that seemed to reveal only a hole where her eye was in, while her other eye showed a pinkish red coloring as her pupil. The woman paused staring at him, then swiftly left as if it was a moment of courage which brought the stare down, Suun Vinny, "Bakina... What happened beyond the walls?" he mutters to himself, and towards her quietly, then swiftly began to pace the edge of the wall that protects all the people from the strange, wanderers.
As Rimbella tugs at Rain's trimmed fish-shirt, whispering gradually louder "Please reconsider... Don't go outside the walls... Its dangerous..." but, Rain merely shook her off and proudly said, "I am a fearless fighter!" then marched off, as Rimbella slid her fingers back into her crow sleeved dress the flurry of loose sleeve 'How did I escape reality back then? I was stuck in the world of gray... why? what was I like before?' than shook her head and ran to find Suun Vinny.
The wandering creatures that seem to hold not a single hint of wakefulness or consciousness, while easily seeing through each one of their victims like a simple window into their soul. Vinny looked at each small slit in the wall made wide enough for a gun's bullet or silencer to barely fit into the opening, whether its a gun's bullet or an archer's arrows, only wide enough to see a few feet of terrain.
Rimbella shuffles her crow boots along, like a walking and talking shadow or part of a funeral dress up, as she finally gets to the wall to find Vinny, she realizes something from just seeing him better than last. 'Who were you before the darkness?' slowly Rimbella backs away and runs away from it, fearing her questions to come to voice.

4: The Lost
The Lost

Sandra appeared in the small room where she met Kally, only to meet the girl with deep crimson hair, "Come on, everyone is waiting and told me to wait for you." Bakina rolled her eyes, then left for where presumably the others are. Sandra slowly followed, beginning to fear what might come from all the strange seemingly misguided people who just seem to wander, and no longer show recognition of anything. "Get in, we're going to scavenge the college before leaving permanently." announced someone, out of all the different people, each person hidden in a mask of crow and midnight black colors, siting in a large van.

As the van slowly arrives the college, the dim colors of dawn slowly giving way and Vinny scans the surrounding area, only to see dark shadows and small looking children in the distance. "We will be quick and avoid children trouble..." agreed the few, reluctantly as Bakina shrugs and studies the college for easy access. Kally, grips her machete and starts to charge, towards the college with Vinny and Lokie close behind, as Bakina "Sandra don't move from inside this van!" then quickly left.

Bakina mutters, "This Sandra, won't last a day... If she follows us, she might last, but barely..." catching up with Vinny and Kally, only to split up to find supplies that could help in the long run of the strange apocalypse. Vinny slowly searching careful of any creatures still being around, sane or insane.

Sandra stares out the many different windows, as the small kid like creatures slowly surrounded the van like an injured animal, and their ready to attack at any moment. "Why is it that life is so fragile, yet easily manipulated by everyone?" She whispers to herself, asking nearly anyone willing to answer, only to be givin a small guttural sounding growl. Sandra, looks for a sky-window to slowly slip out of, and leave her small prison, only to have the small creatures clawing at the metal of the van to get to the roof. Looking down, some of the young looking children had crow hair covering their face, except for their small mouth which reveals square block-ish teeth, while their skin appears ghostly white. Sandra crouched upon the hood of the van, looking out as the further off from the college had hardly any strange creatures, which gave her interest to leave.
Trying to get enough speed, on the van towards her directed path, she leaped and prepared for a harsh impact and roll on the cement, to stay a few feet away from the creatures, if possible for her?

Searching through the college, led for the few to come back together, "Something is going on, there is not a hint of them creatures, even when this is the main point." Vinny pondered, as Kally got nervous with her surroundings getting brighter and easier to tell something was off. As it grew in more light, each comrade, felt more tense with worry and anxious that it could be an ambush awaiting them from anywhere.
But as they exit the eerie college with little color aside from white and gray, towards their van which reveals large claw marks and some cracked windows, "The damned creatures tried getting in." Bakina muttered with a spiteful hiss, only to turn away and march in a totally different direction as the van and college. Lokie followed Bakina, clenching his fists tightly trying not to speak.

Vinny, Lokie, Kally and Nate followed after Bakina who seemed to be fuming and if possible, having steam coming off her head. "Why have we brought that weakling?! Anyone could learn medicine, even Lokie!" flinging her arm to hint at him who just glared at us knowingly, it seems of what Bakina is talking about.
