The screenplay version of season 2, will play out the novelization of series 1. It still has Fifteen Episodes, although a new episode is added 'Honeymoon.' The episode 'The Search,' is now a 2 hour series finale.

In the Novelization, this season was known as the first season of the series. It also consisted of fifteen episodes. However, the episode 'Honeymoon,' didn't exist and the season finale episode 'The Search,' was a double header episode.

There is also an episode name change for in the Screenplay.

Screenplay: S2. Eps. 13. House Warming Calamity.

Novelization: S1. Eps. 3. Hostage.

CAST / CHARACTER DIFFERENCES

In the Screenplay version of the Second Season and throughout the remainder of the ENTIRE Series, Lola will be played by Barbra Streisand.  Her mother, who is briefly seen in the Second Season, is played Kathy Bates.

In the Novelization, from the First Season to the Sixth Season and Series Finale Double Header (season 8), Lola is portrayed by Kathy Bates. In the First Season Novelization, Lola's mother Rose, is played by Barbra Streisand.

So, basically a direct switch of Actresses playing their parts

In the screenplay of the Second Season season, Norman Labelle will be played by Robert Redford.
In the Novelization First Season, Norman Labelle is portrayed by Jack Nicholson.

(Jack Nicholson played Albert Kray in the First Season, Screenplay).

In the Screenplay, Laura Vandervoort portray's Deloris this Season, briefly third season, all of Nineth and Tenth (Final Season).

(The reason I chose Laura Vandervoort to portray Deloris King, is because she resembles a young Shelley Long).

Example: Bethany, Carla, Dominic, Charlotte, Deloris and James are added to the cast. Although their characters are not living in New York City, rather Syracuse.

STEVE
Don't be late now will ya?
(O.S.)

Harry chuckles at Steven's insinuation.

HARRY
I'm a professional. What do you take me for?

STEVE
Just to remind you, your meeting with Michael Hammond, the Executive Director Of Port Authority at Eight Thirty. Which is....ooohh - Twenty Minutes from now.

Harry freezes momentarily, realizing he forgot. He looks at his watch. It's reads 08:10 am. He panics, knowing how important, his meeting is with somebody in high position.

HARRY
Holy shit. I'll be right there.

Harry quickly slams the phone down, turns the T.V. off and grabs a large poster, like Schematic drawing and places it inside a round cardboard hoop and puts a lid on it. Harry grabs a his work bag and throws it over his shoulder and hurries out the Apartment.

(hesitating)
Here he is.

Michael looks to Steve in bemusement, by the way he's acting. Harry meets with the two men, out of breath, but catching once he stops.

HARRY
Sorry. I got here as fast as I could.

MICHAEL
Nice to see a man staying in shape. How's things Harry?

Steve looks confused, as it appears Michael Hammond knows Harry.

STEVE
You two know each other?

Harry puffs his cheeks.

HARRY
Well, he called me, by my first name. I guess so.

Harry and Michael shake hands.
HARRY
Hey, Mike.

MICHAEL
I hear you have something to impress me with.

Harry laughs a little, hoping to impress the business man.

HARRY
Well, it's a proposition. Something that will benefit the City and the Outer limits.

MICHAEL
What do you have in mind?

(pointing at the Design)

STEVE
Basically Bridges.
(interrupts)

Harry hesitates, pulling an annoyed expression at Steve. Steve notices how unimpressed Harry is and allows him to continue.

HARRY
This first double sided Highway, will following down Upper Bay, between the Statue Of Liberty and Governors Island. A few miles after Governors Island, the Bridge will spit off, into two different directions. The first split will head into the direction of Bay Ridge, which will of course, making a quicker day out to Brighton Beach. The second will head South West over to Bayonne and meet the Bayonne Crossing, going into New Jersey. In all directions, commuting duration will be a lot quicker. Especially, for those going to and from John F Kennedy airport.

Michael stands wide eyed and gulps. He looks to Steve Whittaker, who finishes, eating his breakfast and shrugs. Harry waits patiently, but feeling confident. Michael scratches his notices and puffs. He turns back to Steve.

MICHAEL
You two not doing this together.

Steve holds his hands up, acting defensively. He suspects this is a crazy idea.

STEVE
Mr Hammond, this was Harry's idea. If he wants the glory let him have it. I'll stick to building apartments for Lo -Bo's and Zipheads. I have confidence in him.
(starting chuckle)
But, if he wants to build an a river eyesaw, that's his choice....
(hesitates)
Obviously your choice, the Mayors and the public.

Harry grunts.

HARRY
Thanks for the confidence Steven.
(sarcastically)

STEVE
That's what friends are for.

Michael stutters a little trying to get his words. He doesn't whether to laugh, cry or shake Harry's hand.

MICHAEL
I'm really intrigued by your enthusiasm Harry. Don't get me wrong.

Harry's face drops from optimistic to suspected disappointment.

HARRY
But?

MICHAEL
You're thinking like, a hundred years ahead. We already have connections of crossing between Manhattan, New Jersey and Long Island. Tunnels too.

HARRY
Yeah, but people get claustrophobic in tunnels.

STEVE
You see, Mr Hammond, he even considers Mental Health, in this situation. And what if one of those underground tunnels cave in, everyone will drown.

Harry has reached maximum point to Steve's interruption. Harry starts getting angry.

HARRY
I'll be suffering from Mental Health, if you don't stop interrupting. Shut..the fuck up.

Steven backs down.

STEVE
Sorry. Over to you.

Harry sarcastically smirks.

HARRY
Thank you.
(turning back to Michael)
I didn't grow up in New York. I grew up State in a Suburban area near Buffalo. Cozy place. People were laid back, didn't like change. Folk knew more of the people that lived in the town, than the people that weren't local. Maybe those folk, that live on Long Island or certain areas of New Jersey are sick of staring at the view or taking the long road. It's possible they may want to spend more time here, than looking or being stuck in traffic.

MICHAEL
This city has over Seven Million people Harry. Different people -Cultures - from all over the World come here every second, every day of the year. What more do we want?

Harry stands up, feeling passionate about his intensions and insists on not giving up.

HARRY
A hundred Years advancement, maybe. It may not seem much, but a few more million people in or out of Manhattan, will add a few more Millions into our associates bank accounts. Don't you agree?

Michael taps Harry on the shoulder, in partial agreement.

MICHAEL
Yeah, you are thinking ahead..quite wisely.

Michael glances at one more time at the Schematics. He clicks his fingers at Harry, trying to give him some peace at mind.

MICHAEL
Well, this will come down to a public vote. We'll set up a meeting with the Mayor, Senator Cole, who I believe is an old friend of your fathers from Hex-Ville. The Governor will have a brain freeze on this. Leave it with me. It is my decision, but I have to follow procedure.

HARRY
I understand.

Michael and Harry shakes and Michael taps him on the shoulder.

MICHAEL
I'll be in touch.

Michael Hammond heads over, taking in all the information in mind, of what Harry explained to him. Harry in a sense feels a little embarrassed by what he's proposing to do. Steve walks around the table to his best friend and offers some comfort. Steve puts his hand on the back on Harry's neck, as they watch Hammond walk out of the park. Harry feels some sort of frustration as well. He wants to succeed.

HARRY

I feel stupid.

STEVE
It's the thought that counts.

HARRY
It's a multi million dollar fuck up on the cards.

STEVE
It's like you've already excepted defeat.

Harry shrugs, with a dim expression.

HARRY
Maybe.

STEVE
Lets think big my friend. You were born to succeed. Who knows. Your bachelor day maybe over.

HARRY
....Yeah.

3: Prison Reunion
Prison Reunion

EXT. STATE PRISON.
Mid afternoon.

INT. PRISON VISITORS ROOM.
Sections of  glass panels, with chairs either side. With telephones both sides also.
Prisoners are talking to their loved ones, family, friends or acquaintances via phone.

INT. TINA MCQUIRE.
Thirty Four Year Old, Brown Eyed, Short Haired lady is escorted into the visiting room by a Guard. She looks around the room, feeling a little uneasy.

Another door is opened by a female guard, opposite side of the glass and opposite side of the room.

INT. WILLIAM MCQUIRE.

Sixty Five Year Old man and father of Tina appears in a white shirt and brown trousers. He smiles at the thought of seeing is off spring and is warmed that she has come to visit him.

Tina appears nervous at seeing him and walks to the glass window. William walks to face her opposite side of the glass and both sit opposite each other. Tina picks up the phone, as does Billy, who can't contain his emotions. He stutters a little.

BILLY
Hi, love.

TINA
Daddy.

The two feel awkward momentarily. Billy seems anxious.

BILLY
How are you?

TINA
I'm O.K. You?

BILLY
Over the moon seeing you.

Tina nods, finsing words hard to come by.

BILLY
How's your brother?

TINA
He's fine. He flew to New York with me.

Billy hesitates for a moment, seeing as Greg didn't come with his twin to visit their father.

BILLY
And you came to visit me alone....again.

TINA
I can't force him Dad. Greg still blames you for everything that happened to him.

BILLY
I know that. I suppose your mother still feels the same. She still seeing that Airline Pilot?

TINA
No.

BILLY
Got fed up of her did he?

Tina doesn't take too kindly to her father comment, when she gives him a grumpy stare. Billy sees how offended his daughter is by his insinuation and immediatley regrets it.

BILLY
Sorry. I shouldn't have said that.
How is she?

TINA
She's good. Her flower business is doing pretty well.

BILLY
Glad to hear it. Give her my regards.

TINA
I will when I speak to her.

BILLY
You're looking well. No matter what has happened, you're still my baby girl. And I regret...

Tina interrupts Billy, as she feels he doesn't need to keep convincing her, he's reformed.

TINA
Daddy. I know.

BILLY
Do you? I've been in prison for a triple murder I didn't commit.

TINA
I don't think you did it either.

BILLY
But, in your eyes, it's teaching me a lesson. I know I've done a lot of things - a lot bad - but them Crocetti's set me up good and proper. If it weren't for them, you'd still have my Grand Child.

TINA
It's possible. I may still have given Scarlett away.

BILLY
Then why?

Tina feels frustrated by the conversation.

TINA
I told you why.

BILLY
The people that were trying to get even with me, wouldn't have come after you. You didn't have to give her away to protect her. Or was there something else?

TINA
I loved Scarlett, more than life itself. It was a lot of things.

BILLY
Well, since you're headed back to New York, are you considering seeing Harry again? I hear he's one of the Big Apples top Architects.

TINA
It had cross my mind. I don't want, my personal life, interfering with my ambitions on Broadway. And since when did you care about my feelings for Harry. I haven't seen him in Sixteen Years, since.....that horrible day.

BILLY
I was just merely asking. I want to see you happy.

TINA
Well, if and when I decide to visit you again, don't expect to see me jumpy and jiving. Coming to places like this makes my skin crawl.

Billy hesitates for a moment.

BILLY
I've applied for parole again.

Tina rolls her eyes.

TINA
That's the twenty thousanth time isn't it?
(sarcastic)

BILLY
So even me being an innocent man, you think I deserve to be in here?

TINA
Of course not. I told you, I don't believe you murdered Harry's folks.

BILLY
Do you think, he believes I did it or didn't?

TINA
Don't force me to ask him. He mean't a lot to me.

BILLY
Well, you may found out from T.V. this week.

Tina frowns in confusion.

TINA
T.V.?

BILLY
I'm going to appear on Unsolved Mysteries on Wednesday night. You know with Robert Stack. Harry has apparently given an interview also. Soon find out what he thinks of me and who may have wanted his Mother and Father dead.

TINA
Well, you are full of surprises aren't you Daddy?

BILLY
I've been in here long enough. I'm getting out of here, even if I have to bust out of here.
