Album

Lies upon the Ocean

Dedicated to my friends, who helped me through the loss (and lies) of Danny,

And to whom I am eternally grateful.

I watched the raft

Drift out to sea,

With all his lies

Thereunto tied.

The summer tide

Brought gently out

Of sight, 'til all

Was but a memory.

And then, the memory

Fell into legend,

As time brought then

Fresh laughter by.

And, as the sun

Rose ever higher,

Those years of tears

Then ebbed away.

We passed along the shore,

My friends and I,

And thanked the stars

For summer joys.
