I give to you a rose,
One of sadness and hardship,
I bring to you a painful death,
And the suffering that may follow.
~~
I give to you a rose,
One of happiness and friendship,
I bring to you a soothing life,
And the lust that may follow.
~~
But here I give you two,
So chose wisely,
my friend.
For only the true will pick the right one;
For only the lying with pick the wrong one.
2: ~Abstract~ (rating: K)Seeming to hold no purpose,
Seeming to just be another obstacle,
With undefined shapes and figures,
It is derived from the unknown mind.
~x~
Sometimes made for fun,
With no general purpose.
Sometimes made with reason,
With evident meaning behind it.
~x~
Abstract is not mean to be concrete,
Hence it’s given name.
It’s meant to make one stop and think,
‘What is the meaning behind this one, ‘ey?’
3: ~Ancient Egypt~ (rating: K)Riches fading into oblivion,
Into the distant past,
Wealth dissipates into nothing,
The fall of Great Egypt has taken its turn at last.
A man of pride and a woman of power,
Tutankhamen wrote his name and Cleopatra made her mark,
But now they fade to a mere memory,
And to find their truths a long journey we must embark.
Riches fading into oblivion,
Into the distant past,
Wealth dissipates into nothing,
The fall of Great Egypt has taken its turn at last.
Once standing proud and tall,
Here rose the great obelisk,
Now in it's wake a crumbled stone,
One which we can only reminisce.
Riches fading into oblivion,
Into the distant past,
Wealth dissipates into nothing,
The fall of Great Egypt has taken its turn at last.
The final relic of this great age,
A house of grandeur magnificence,
The pyramids still hold firmly their ground,
Refusing to fade into forgotten dissonance.
Riches fading into oblivion,
Into the distant past,
Wealth dissipates into nothing,
The fall of Great Egypt has taken its turn at last.
4: ~DARK SOUL~ (rating: K)You turned me into this, Made me into a monster…
You took away my sanity, My oh-so-delicate bliss.
But mind it not, I do.
For I have always embraced the Dark.
And now you have opened the door,
The door to my Dark Heart.
5: ~DEATH~ (rating: T)Cloaked in a black, black as the darkness, darkness as the Hell beneath;
A menacing, skeletal tower standing to sinister heights, with piercing black sockets and an eternal grin;
Whose presence freezes enlightment in its very form.
———————————————————————————————————-
To thee he takes his deadly weapon, that which is covered in past sins, sins that heed no remorse;
Iron tipped with the finest blade, made of the finest metal;
Ripping through life’s thin and fragile miracles.
———————————————————————————————————-
And as much as the bloody scythe, its wielder shows but the same emotionlessness towards the life it has taken;
For Death brings forth no shame; for Death brings forth no regret…
6: ~Devil in Disguise~ (rating: T)Rising from the ashes,
what’s left of what once was,
Black wings spread from the back,
eyes made of liquid blood.
Flawless in the art of deception, confusion and disorientation,
Lies told to be the truth;
Truths hidden among white lies.
You fell to me oh so easily,
Willingly let me bite you.
With every spoken word of mouth,
You let me take you further down.
Further into despair you traveled,
unable to resist my lure,
And not all was it the looks that got you, but my mere spoken word.
You listened to not what others said, regardless if it was the near truth.
For to you I was your Gabriel, your hidden angel from Hell.
You fell to me oh so easily,
Willingly let me bite you.
With every spoken word of mouth,
You let me take you further down.
What was it that you saw in me?
What was it that caught your eye?
I asked this to you simply, ‘t’was your being’ you did reply.
But looks can be deceiving, and words far more dangerous,
But that’s what the Devil does, that’s how the Darkness works.
You fell to me oh so easily,
Willingly let me bite you.
With every spoken word of mouth,
You let me take you further down.
Just waiting for that day to come, that day when everything will collapse.
I am not a loving angel, quite the opposite in fact,
I am the master of deception, being not who you think I am.
You fell to me oh so easily,
Willingly let me bite you.
With every spoken word of mouth,
You let me take you further down.
To you I do reveal myself, within the written words.
To you I tell no lies, I am a human with a curse.
It is God I believe not it, ‘tis Death I owe my life to,
For I am the daughter of Hades, I am the Devil in Disguise!
7: ~FURY~ (rating: M)What the hell are you doing?!
You son-of-a-bitch!
To stoop to that level,
OF IGNORANCE?
Do you think I am stupid?!
Do you think I cant hear?!
Do you think I wont notice,
THE DAMAGE YOU’VE CAUSED HERE?
I can see right through,
Those white lies of yours.
And all my sensitivity
YOU HAVE IGNORED.
Are you really so damn stupid,
To think I wont see,
All of this fury,
YOU’VE PUT INTO ME?
Together, we are one-in-the-same;
Together, we are strongest;
Together, we are unstoppable;
Together, we are Yin to the Yang.
With one head to the left,
And the other to the right,
With one heart to the day,
And the other to the night.
We view our split past, and rejoin for our united future.
Together, we are one-in-the-same;
Together, we are strongest;
Together, we are unstoppable;
Together, we are Yin to the Yang.
9: ~Long Ago My Elder Once Told Me...~ (rating: K)Long ago my elder once told, ‘put your needs before your wants.’
This advice I did heed to, for I have always been one to listen.
Years have past since that, now I am a free thinker.
I have my own views on the world, but this advice I still keep.
I made many friends, and lost a few as well.
However I moved on and made more, but this advice I still keep.
Then one day I met you, a person so different from most.
So expressive and caring, like no one I’d ever seen.
For all my friends were like me, rather calm and collected.
Not that we never showed emotion, but only did once we were close.
You became like a drug to me, one I was lethally addicted to.
No matter how many times I pushed you away, I’d always come back for more.
Now a year has past since that, and mentally I can’t take it.
And after your mistaken outburst, I found reason to break all ties.
Now I must ask myself, ‘is this really what I wanted?’
For mentally I have moved on, but my heart it aches for more.
But no matter how long I wait for that text, for that simple sign of communication.
I must remember one thing, that simple moral to life:
Long ago my elder once told, ‘put your needs before your wants.’
This advice I did heed to, for I have always been one to listen.
Life is not about truths,
Life is not about lies.
Life is about mystery.
It contains answers,
Not all of which we are willing to believe,
But,
Not all if which we are willing to ignore.
-You ask someone a question, and present you with an answer, they do. To them, it sounds correct. To you, it sounds questioning.-
Thus,
Life is…a mystery,
One to be solved by each for their own answers.
~~~
Life is not about rights.
Life is not about wrongs.
Life is about moral.
Is contains actions,
Not all of which we find good,
But,
Not all of which we find bad.
-You see someone punch another, in the act of protecting another. You look at this as violence. They look at this as bravery.-
Thus,
Life is…a moral,
One to be written by each for their own rules.
Everyday someone dies, and is revived in someone new;
Everyday a heart is broken, but is healed with someone special;
Whether they be old or new,
Whether they be friend or foe,
You can still give them those flowers,
—Happy Valentines Day â¤
12: ~Opposite Yet the Same~ (rating: K)Yin: I reside to destruction, to the annihilation of all matter. I am never who you think I am, for I am the master of deceiving. Onward I venture, towards the Dark, towards your worst nightmare.
Yang: I reside to creation, to the formation of all beings. I can be whom ever you desire, for I am the master of loving. Onward I venture, towards the Light, towards your greatest daydream.
YinYang: Eventually one will seek to dominate the other, to rule over all. However one Force cannot be without the other, so on they continue in the treacherous, yet sensual dance of love and despair.
[I am fully aware that YinYang do not exactly represent 'light' and 'dark', but 'heaven' and 'earth'. However, for the purpose of a story I am writing, the characters have the names 'Yin' and 'Yang', 'Midnight' and 'Twilight'; it fit better. YinYang still does, however, in the story, represent heaven and earth in their own ways.]
13: ~Sitting At Your Windowsill...~ (rating: T)Sitting at your windowsill…
I watch you stare off mindlessly—to a space far beyond.
Some, make you cringe.
Some, make you fond.
I watch you work your hands on paper—configuring your thoughts.
Some, you throw away.
Some, you do not.
I watch you undress yourself—clothes are now back on.
Some, you said 'I like this.'
Some, you said 'be gone.'
Sitting at your windowsill…
I listen to your tender voice—like a harmonious song.
Sometimes, you speak quickly
Sometimes, you prolong.
I listen to your tempered tones—of which do rise and fall.
Sometimes, they are said aloud.
Somethings, they aren't said a'tall.
I listen to your steady pulse―like the beating of a drum.
Sometimes, it says nothing.
Sometimes, it says ba-dum.
When I arise from my place, sitting on your windowsill…
I can sense the rush of adrenaline, the rise of romanic thrill.
Backing you against the wall, escape is now futile…
I whisper to you all my words, 'I am the Devil in Satin's smile.'
You shiver against my touch, and moan against my lips…
One hand splayed across your back, one along your hips.
Let us stay in this moment, one forever more…
Let us forget about the world, when we close the bedroom door.
14: ~The Cat Who Hides in the Dark~ (rating: K)Hiding under the Willow Tree,
Creeping through the night,
Its fur is said to bring misfortune,
To those who wonder into its sight.
15: ~The End~ (rating: T)I give to you, my final breath,
the last of my life on Her.
A chain of memories, a ring of dreams,
I leave as my gift.
I have spent my life, and have nothing more.
All I wanted has been destroyed.
The you of my dreams, is no longer
and slowly you pushed me away.
Though I never abandon,
I keep to the end.
I will always desire you.
Family has failed me, and now have you.
What is left for me?
If I should die, who would care?
I was never ‘the same’.
I was different, and that id bad,
so I figured I would just leave.
I give to you, my final breath,
the last of my life on Her.
A chain of memories, a ring of dreams,
I leave as my gift.
I swear to protect you,
With this sword in my hand.
I swear to never fall,
With this sword in my hand.
When I ride off to battle,
I promise,
I will return.
For I swear to protect you,
With this sword in my hand.
17: ~The Majestic Gift~ (rating: K)Through the encanchted forest,
Across the shining waters,
Rising in the light,
As the majestic butterfly dances into flight.
18: ~The Virus~ (rating: T)Infectious, contagious,
Death taken to the micro-units.
Distortion, confusion,
Destruction to the cyber-units.
Heard of, yet never see; master of ‘micro-concealing’,
Silent and ever so deadly.
Small, yet ever so destructive.
19: ~Tides of Love~ (rating: K)Together,
Forever,
You…Me
We will float high above all others,
all pain,
on the Tides of Love.
20: ~Wishing: a Poem of Imagery~ (rating: K)Cubes, small and cold, pierce against my skin,
Like stingers.
As i limp across the icy cotton, i see it…
A Grand Stone, its arrows,
Pointing to the Bleak Heavens.
Metal Robots clanking;
To and fro…
Their long arrows, too,
Pointing to the Bleak Heavens.
Mindlessly, i wander closer to the Stone,
It towers over me.
Black Silhouettes move by the windows.
One stops and looks down upon me,
i look up at Them.
A Metal Robot shouts and grabs my arm,
Dragging me into the Immensity.
Someone shouts…
A mass of silk, wraps around me,
A heart beats with mine.
i catch a glimpse,
Of the Angel of the Grand Stone- its arrows,
Pointing to the bleak Heavens…
21: ~Yin's Gargoyle Warning~ (rating: T)Around 12 of each day and night, the Gargoyle statues come to life.
An hour they bring of utmost chaos, only once again sealed by the hour-struck cross.
Wonder in care, do not turn your back.
Else you may never make it back.
